perhaps the same reason you ask everyone who they book through and what ship and what date. You feel you are not overstepping your bounds by doing so.
There is a lot we tolerate here.
But most of all, we ALL need a laugh, a hug, a gesture of friendship, or just a simple smile when our day seems to be heading nowhere. I for one, appreciate the lightheartedness of this board and the humorous photos, etc. Lighten up!
Thank you Cruise Cynic for the great photo!
Considering the last two weeks I have had, this is a nice smile for me.
I never ask who people book though...I ask the date and ship because I like to help people. Let me ask you a question...Is your post to me a gesture of friendship? Maybe we can all learn something from this exchange.
I dont find Dead things funny. We can dissagree on this. Thats ok.
Michael, I just meant that I would not like someone to ask me that, because if I have already booked, it means I have checked all options, prices, etc before deciding on a TA and don't consider it in good taste (in my opinion) to do this.
I don't consider dead things funny either, however the idea that someone was this lazy, was amusing at best.
Unfortunately, dead animals are part of our highways and it must be an awful job to have to remove them when painting the lines, etc.
But if you have been around this board for a while, which you have, then you have seen the funny photos, etc and realize that we all enjoy a chuckle , laugh, or even a small cringe at times.
You are correct in saying that you don't ask who they booked through, my apologies.
I guess I am one of those people who feel attacked by vultures (no reference at all to you) for example, when I walk into a shoe store and am immediately am locked on target by a salesman who doesn't even allow me to browse before standing at my side following me around the store. Or the car dealerships are the worst!
So forgive me if I find that a thorn in my side.....
But I assume that most cruisers search dillegently for a great price with great service and then book. Those that are new to it, usually post and ask for a recommendation for a TA.
Gee, whiz, and here I thought that Paul told me that the Chit-Chat for Cruisers forum could be used for whimsical things like this. Seems like some people reside here who take themselves and the world way, way, too seriously. Lighten up, y'all.
I hate to see dead animals too. But that was truly the best discripition of
a lazy human being I have every seen. That was great. The City I work for
Is just like that. I'm going to post It up at my work, The animal control people
that work for the city wouldn't pick up a dead animal in the road, only
with It's last breath It would have to drag It's self up into the truck to get off the road way.
Marilyn, , I even hate to watch the RAID commercials where the roaches are killed DEAD! Especially while enjoying a little comfort food in front of the TV! And then there's the hemorrhoid commercials, the stomach gas commercials, .....
Here in Tennessee the legislature passed in the past session a bill that make taking road kill home legal. They decided it would save the state money if they allowed the person who killed the deer or other animal, with a car, home to eat instead of leaving it and having highway personel to remove it.
