On a cruise, some of us eat breakfast, lunch, afternoon cookies and ice cream. pizza and then dinner with a couple of entrees and two desserts. Also, perhaps a few sweet mixed drinks. Then when we have coffee ot tea, we put in an artificial sweetener! Who is fooling whom? Also, when we have an assigned table, why do some of us line up outside of the dining room 10 or 15 minutes before the thing opens. Hunger pangs?

Re: People Are Strange
Hey Paul...for some reason I like Sweet'nLow in my coffee, even when I am not dieting....I just perfer it to sugar...something about that bitter after taste I guess??? But I HATE Sweet'nLow in my tea....go figure!
And some people put peanuts in their coke or diet coke. I also like sweet and low in my iced tea, because the bitter taste goes well with lemon. But I have to have nutra sweet in my hot tea. Just think of all the calories I save.

Because our minds are so bad we don't remember how long it took to get from the cabin to the dining room the night before.
I use that excuse when I show up for late seating, after just leaving from early seating<G>
It always sounds funny when I order a french fry and a Diet Coke or a cookie and a Diet Coke. I get some strange looks. I'm not drinking it for the lack of calories, but for the taste. Just can't stomach the 'real' thing.
People line up for dining room seating because the first ones always get the best tables, right? I think it's just an old habit that is hard to break.
Have been diabetic now for over 12 years. Sugar now taste awlful. I don't even taste a bitter after taste with sweet and low. But, I do want the pink stuff don't like the blue stuff.. I don't see how people can eat sugar.
