Default Advice hotel in Fort Lauderdale October 27 th.

Our flight schedule changed from Fort Lauderdale to Miami. We arrive after a long flight (15 hours) in Miami Airport at 7.15 PM.
What is the best idea for a pre stay, booking a hotel in Miami or in Fort Lauderdale? The ship departs from Fort Lauderdale at 5.00 PM. Any advice for a hotel and transfert is welcome.
Hotelroom till $ 130,00.
What about Comfort Inn Airport?
Pier 66, Embassy Suites, Amerisuites are full booked.
THANKS.
Gitte

Gitte,

After a long flight like that, I'd take the closest hotel to the airport and just sleep, then the next morning, go to the ship, you'll probably have to check out around 11:00 am anyway.

Then, to get to the ship, I'd arrange for a limo to take you.

Lucky you!

gitte, my wife and i were in the same bind as you...no rooms in fort lauderdale the weekend of the 27th because of the boat show. we ended up staying at the marriot fort lauderdale north, which is maybe 10 minutes from the port, for a great rate of 79$ a night.i did find out through my travel agent that the rennaisance(sp?) does have rooms if you book through princess, but if you call the hotel, they will say they are sold out.
best of luck and bon voyage.
