I would like to thank you all very much for your concern over my husband Ron.
Just a short line to let you know whats going on. He did appear that he was
getting a little better with some of the meds and IV solution. And his Cat scan
showed that he had improved about 50%. However he is not getting better.
He continues to get a very high fever 103 every 3 to 5 hours. After several tests
and 4 IV bags later in less than 26 hours he has not improved to the satisfaction
of his Dr. and he can not find any reason for Ron to be as sick as he Is and
the fever that will not go away. The Dr. told me at 2:30 this afternoon that
he is stumped. Not a word I was ready to hear. The hospital is calling in
an Infectious Viru Specialist, and Oncologist and One other Dr. to brain storm
a will be doing a battery of test late this afternoon and tomorrow. So at this point
I really don't have any news.
Since none of you have every meet me or my husband I find It quit nice to
find such a caring group of people (Family) thank you. I'm just a little worried
I I'm calling my Dad and Sister at least once a day to keep them iformed, so
I will not be on the board must. I hate butting sad news on the board, I like
the fun times It provides.
I hope to have some better new over the weekend, please keep me In your
Dolphin - there is a reason for this and they will find it - it may just take some time. They will treat the symptoms and run diagnostic tests until they find out what is going on. Be strong and know that we are with you.
We are all "virtual" friends with the hope of getting to know each other better as time goes by, and we share both the fun of cruising and the worries of everyday life. I join your other "cruise mates" in praying for your husband, and for your strength as well.

Re: Ron Thanks for the prayers
Janet, what a trying time for you and Ron...I went thought something similar last summer with my husband but we knew the cause...an sever ear infection that just would not respond to anitbiotics. Here hoping the viral infection specialist will come up with an answer. Our prayers are continually with you, Ron and your whole family.
