Just a note about Royal Caribbean and Celebrity's complimentary bus
service - they are now instituting a charge for this service in the Northeast
for all bookings made after July 15th of this year.
This bus service - mostly to New York has been a great way to get to
the NY piers for those of us who live in the Northeast - and even with
the new $45.00 per person charge is still a bargain versus limo or shuttle
service to the pier.
Since is has always been free ( or part of the cruise fare ) some might
not believe the charge is vaild - so thought I would let you know that we
have been so advised by the lines - and then you won't be surpirsed.
We used the bus from Harrisburg to the NYC Celebrity pier 2 years ago. It was a long ride since we were the first pickup point and had 4 other stops in PA before darting across NJ, but relaxing and comfortable. I'm not happy abour the new charge, but it would be well worth it as opposed to driving, arriving somewhat worn out, and paying considerably more to park at the pier. How did I know that RCI/Celebrity would be the first to add a charge?
