Default Wednesday morning

I don't feel comfortable saying "good morning" today. I'm sure everyone is still in shock, as I am. Let's continue to pray!

I can't believe what happened yesterday, I watched all day, and I'm still
in shock...I have spoken to my friends in NY, and thank God they're ok...My
heart goes out to all the family who lost a love one in such a awful way.

Same here nothing good about this morning. My flag is also flying.
Last night I put my uniform on, as I pinned on my badge I placed the
small peice of black cloth over It In rememberance of the Law Enforcement
Officer, Fire Fighters and other Ems workers whom lost there lives trying
to save other. This Is done in there memory, but as I placed It on I thought
of all the others whom lost there lives and wore It In honor of them also. We can
only pray now that a few miracales.
Lets work together to get through this, go to the blood bank, donate from
your heart, and help the ones we will never meet, and let know we care.
If you feel a little helpless because your so far away or your not sure what
to do just ask. I know It makes me feel a little better If I can help in some
way no matter how little.
Take care all as you go through your day.

I care about all of you hear Is a big hug for all that need one, I know I
do, It's been a hard night and I'm going to bed.

Mary Lou, et al...

This morning our world is radically changed. As much as I hate to admit it, I'm at that age when maybe I spend too much time looking back to find answers...to find relief. Amidst all the sorrow and shock is the fact that this country is amazingly resilient. For example, I recall the streets of New York during the blackout in 1965, watching a teenager with a flashlight directing traffic. New Yorkers showed what they could do when faced with a crisis.

This morning our glass may seem to be totally empty. As you said, this isn't supposed to happen here. If nothing else, the glass full of air. It's up to us to make the most of what we have left. We'll grieve for our friends and families...and we'll pick ourselves us and move on. Hopefully we'll sieze this opportunity to rid the world of terorism, to make it a safer place...not out of anger or vengence, but a reasoned response that imparts a lasting lesson.

More on New Yorkers...

Yesterday, my niece walked from lower Manhattan to Brooklyn to be with her boyfriend. Obviously we're glad she's safe.

To make life a bit easier, a shoe store passed out sneakers to those women who had miles to go in heels.

Keep the faith...JimM

Hello from NJ. Americans all over want to help those in need this day after the madness brought to our country....there are elderly people who may need someone to talk to and young people who feel unsafe. Give someone your smile, your strength. We are a good brave people. I am proud to be known as an
American.

I'm sure the shock of the magnitude of the tragedy is setting it in for many today. We need to show support for each other, and maintain the belief that good will prevail over evil!!!

Dolphin, we lost many of our brothers yesterday and that brings terrible sadness to me, but also great pride in the true bravery that was displayed in the finest of traditions. I for one want my pound of flesh in return and that isn't near enough for our loss of these wonderfully brave brothers of ours.
