Thanks guys.. We try to pretty diligent in monitoring spam, inapporpriate posts, and personal attacks. It's so much better to have a place for friendly dialogue and exchange of opionions, even when they differ.

I do think it's important to note, that just because someone may say someone is wrong in a particular thread.. doesn't mean they are attacking or flaming them. Differing opinions often lead to further dialogue... otherwise all the posts would just say "DITTO" <g>

There are a number of CM "staff" who can have their finger on the "delete" button if needed. Thankfully it's rarely needed around here!

Regards,
Kuki

I was glad to see how fast the situation was handled. Other message boards I have participated in seem to let things sit for a very long time, but not here.

Re: posts

All,
Understand that the few staff members that have the ability to delete messages take that responsibility very seriously and we try to err on the side of the poster whenever possible. Differances of opinion, like Kuki says, are not only not deleted, they are often welcome as it makes life more interesting. About the only thing we will delete is profanity, advertising spam, personal attacks, and posts that are meaningless such as "such and such a cruiseline is terrible and nobody should ever cruise them." Now, if that same person says the same thing and puts a logical reason to it, then the post stays. We just ask for adult behaviour and informative posts as that is what this is all about, sharing knowledge of our wonderful obsession with cruising. <G>
