Mobile, AL as new Cruise Port
Just two weeks ago, Carnival thought they'd try Mobile, AL as a embarkation port. It was on our local news channel. They did it as a test to see how the market was in this area. They had three cruises planned in March, two 5 day and one 2 day. Within this two weeks, the longer cruises are completely booked and the 2 day is half booked. I'm so excited because I live between Pensacola, FL and Mobile, AL. I'm not a fan of Carnival, but if it goes well for them, I expect more cruise ships will leave from here. That sure would be convenient for us, not to mention save us some money! Just thought I'd share this for anyone who might be interested.

Hi neighbor! I'm in Pensacola. I think it's great they're bringing a ship to Mobile, and like you I hope more ships will come to this area. My wish is for a RCCL ship :)

I agree on the RCL ship, but I'd be just as happy with Princess or Celebrity. Good to hear from someone in the "neighborhood".
