Deck Us All With Boston Charlie !!!

Does anyone else remember Walt Kelly ("Pogo" cartoonist) and his vamp on "Deck the Halls" ???

I can remember the first verse ...

Deck us all with Boston Charlie
Walla Walla Wash and Kalamazoo
Nora's sleeping on the trolley
Swaller dollar cauliflower, Alley-garoo.

As we begin the long, slow (hassled and stressed) slide into the festive season, how about decking our virtual CruiseMates halls with photos of our land-side cabins?

CruiseAholic will undoubtedly bring down the site with photos of his 29 trees, but maybe if the rest of us hurry we can sneak a few in ???

All Carole needs to do is put bows on those precious pups. I'll try to herd my cats for decoration.

So, kids, get with it and post those pix !!! It's almost the same as being there.

Great idea Pamda! I'll open the closet door and take a picture of my holiday storage totes. lol Some sparkly stuff is spilling out so you will know it is indeed my decorations. Hope to drag those boxes out this weekend!

Just to add ...

Queeg's intials are "BAH". There is a small pillow in one of the living room chairs that says, "BAH! HUMBUG!"

You can all guess what the engraving on the back of his watch says. A prize will be awarded for who comes closest.

nieciez - Kiera doesn't look to thrilled to be visiting Santa! Have a few of them from years ago with me and my sister (I'm 7 years older) and she was screaming her head off two years in a row.

Pogo was a strange and wonderful comic. Besides Deck Us All With Boston Charlie (my favorite carol) does anyone else remember the names of the three bats? Bewitched, Bothered and Bemildred.

I never heard of the song either. When Pam mentioned it, I did a search to get the lyrics for her.

As for the engraving on Queegs watch - "Scrooge" ??
