Default A Good Morning Teaser ...

Here is another Santa ...

This guy is sort of my main man. We never know where he's going to show up during the holiday season. And neither of us can remember where we collected him.

This year he climbed the tree.

Please note guy wires attached to tree. Essential when you have four cats.

Have a great day, everyone !!!

Nice Tree Pam, enjoy!

Yep, notice the wires now that you mention it, could of used them last Christmas, had a 6 month old puppy in the house and one day I came home, only to find the entire tree laying down, needless to say I was NOT happy Guess we learn the hard way and what I've seen of your tree, it looks beautiful!

My niece used to have to tie her tree when she lived in a house in Richmond, VA that was built on an old Indian burial ground. She would come home from work to find the tree moved from the corner to the center of the room, by the 'spirits'.....NO CA...NOT JackD! Depending on what kind of day it had been for the ghosties....it would either be thrown in the center of the floor or just standing intact in the center. Many beautiful ornaments were destroyed that first year 'til she tied the tree. No one else had access to the house .... and this is not a story....I have witnessed it myself! Her house was not the only one involved, either. No one talked about it for fear of being labled 'nuts', but in later years, after several of the residents moved, they got together for a party and the subject came up....all had 'events' of various types.....sounds, moving objects, etc.

Another great Santa, Pam! Thanks for sharing. We need to see the WHOLE tree!!! Mgram

Do I know that well.....use to have to do the same thing Pam....now I should do it due to the grandkids, lol, but actually so far it hasn't been too bad. I just had to make sure the breakable ornaments are out of reach. 14 month old Kiera has taken a liking to a pretty ballerina, luckily she is plastic so I can let her play with it (under supervision). Interesting story Pat....does the niece still live in the house?

Pamda,
Another good way to secure the tree is to put an eye-hook in the ceiling and suspend the tree from it. That way the tree cannot fall over!

Also, if the tree is tall, the support wire doesn't show at all.

pj ...

Good idea, but not in my seventy-year-old plaster ceilings !!!

It hurt enough to put the hold-hards in that beautiful millwork.

Every nail that gets pounded around here takes weeks of careful consideration. And, sometimes, argumentation.

You don't want to even know about my kitchen floor
