As the year comes to an end, we wanted to look back and share it with my fellow CruiseMates.
Although I was a "lurker" in late 2000, and had a couple of minor posts, I didn't really beome involved with the board until after I had my third cardiac "episode," and second open-heart surgery.
Following my surgery, several good things happened in my life, including becoming active on the site during my at-home recovery. Instantly, I found a whole bunch of new friends that I could share my love of cruising with. They got to know me as "bow2stern."
Then, circumstances caused some of my friends, from anoher board, to start posting here; some exclusively, and some on both.
That's when I "came out of the closet," and was jeffstern on both boards!
At the beginning of the year, we thought this might be the first year, in many, that we wouldn't be able to take, at least, one cruise...
Thankfully, things turned around quickly, and, as the year ended, we were able to go on the Grand Princess, in September, and the Horizon, this month. In between, in November, we were able to tour the Norwegian Sun, and take a short cruise on the Star.
So, all in all, it turned out to be a pretty good year.Got to meet a bunch of you guys, in person, at Bayside and the Marriott....
Just wanted to know that you all made 2001 a little nicer for us, and we wish you all the happiest, healthiest and most prosperous New Year!
