When the ice is in your eyebrows,
And they're starting up the snowplows,
Then the South Pacific is the place to be.
When the blue birds run for cover
Cause their happiness is over,
Then those little gem-like islands are for me.
Then a dally down in Bali
Is the cruise that's up your alley,
Cause you long to feel the balmy ocean breeze.
From the slopes of Mauna Loa
To the beaches of Samoa,
We'd all love to sail those shining southern seas.
So Just forget it's snowing
And the freezing wind that's blowing,
Then just dream about a place that's warm and nice.
Then if fortune smiles upon you,
And if wishes really come true,
Then the morn will bring a tropic paradise.
A great poem, I really like it! I shouldn't mention that I've been asking, hoping and looking for snow! A good friend of mine moved his family to Dallas in search of a better job, cheaper housing, better climate than NE Illinois and he is quite unhappy that I've had much better weather in Chgo. than he has in Ft. Worth this winter! Go figure! Sue
