Default Child's passport in 5 days

We applied for our 8 yr old's passport at the post office on 1/2. It came in the mail Saturday and was issued on 1/7. I could NOT believe it. I guess we're good to go on Golden in 32 days - but who's counting?

Now that's fast! We were told it would take 6-8 weeks for our sons', but it only took 3 weeks. I think we got them at a busy time (October) because my husband got his in January and it only took about 10 days.

They are definitely worth the money. It makes check in SO much quicker and easier at the airports and at the cruise ports. Congrats!! Now you can jump at those last minute specials to Europe, right? :o)

That is terrific service. And as Bobbie said passports are terrific ID when travelling. I can't understand why everyone doesn't get one.

Surprisingly - I got my passport in 2 days in Lincoln, NE.

Actually - we applied a couple of weeks earlier and paid express fee to have it within a week. Well - something went wrong (paperwork got lost) and it wasn't our fault. We had to go down and get new photos, new birth certificates, etc. .

Needless to say - the postal service and passport service got me a passport in 2 days. The passport people at the post office hand delivered it to me - how is that for service?

I later wrote to the passport agency and told them all of my "extra expenses" in their mistake (photos, birth certificates, etc. . ). Nine months later - I got a letter with a check reinbursing me for everything - I couldn't believe it.
