Thanks Carole for this very important post....this is very close to my heart.....my husband Bill is a retired Marine, but due to Agent Orange and other physical stresses from 20 years of Military Service has numerous medical problems, that at the present only seem to be getting worse. Thanks for everyone's support!

Neicez, John is a vietnam vet also. He has effects from Agent Orange also, as well as jungle rot and a few other things.
It isn't right that they are doing this with their disability benefits.

We only have one Congresscritter (Republican) here in the Quaint State. But I will be on the phone to his staff about this tomorrow.

The Democrats (both Senators) staffers usually take my calls. So I'll be on the horn to them, too.

I've read Pam's artical on her Vietnam trip some time ago and highly recommend it. I think it is one of your best pieces Pam!

It was a very difficult piece to write. There is only one other -- the "Island Dog" story -- that touched me so deeply. The reasons are so different and, at the same time, so very similar.

Writing from the fingers and writing from the heart are very different things.

Signed and proud to do it. Viet Nam is important to me as 3 young men in my high school class that I knew well (class under 200) gave their lives there. This is a situation that touches each and every one of us! Let's do this! Sue
