Having a super day today. Took Mermaid's advice and booked a taxi (6 of us). Went to Fern Gully and took a short hike, then to the stunning botanical gardens (wow!), followed by a drive east along the coast, and finally a little shopping and back to the ship. We're ready to hit the hot tubs and soak up a little of this gorgeous sunshine. Had another outstanding sunrise this morning, so will have lots of material for future mornings on the board. Will check back in tomorrow, a sea day enroute to Aruba. Bye, y'all. Sure wish you could all be here with us.
Now if she had said 10 weeks CA. . . . . .
But if we do that I'd have to start going to the gym!
Hmmm. . . Maybe I'd better buy one of our Calif. Lotto tickets tonight - up to $50MM, and THAT would pay for some serious cruising!
cruz-b4, the gardens were the Shaw Park Botanical Gardens, and it was fantastic! We took a taxi and asked for a private tour. The taxi driver was extremely good and you can ask for him by name if you wish. His name was Joseph Dorias and he is one of the licensed taxi drivers. Nice guy, older van, no a/c - worried us at first, found it was not needed and really enjoyed the tour. If you use him next week, let him know the six people on the cruise before recommended him.
Cruzship, you asked about the Margaritas, funny boy! They were ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS! Just ask Kathy's Mother and Tom. I'm not sure they really remember getting back to the ship.
All y'all: Sea day today enroute to Aruba. Cloudy and VERY windy. Nice day to relax and try to catch up on our sleep. Tom diving tomorrow with Kathy and Daryl. Tomorrow night we are doing the Kuku Kunuku dinner and bar hop. Should be loads of fun with this group especially. Thank heavens the tour leader is responsible for us.......I'm not sure we will be. :o)
Boy what a way to start the morning--thinking of margaritas--but then again whats new--lol. Glad to hear your having a great time-- and its lasting more than 7 days--
Keep us updated and keep searching for the perfect margarita
