Mgrm...sarasota bridge

Hi,y'all Mgram. question....whats the latest on the ringling causeway bridge to bird key? are they gonna rebuild it or what?

I believe that it is under construction. I rarely go across that way unless I am going to St. Armands Circle, so I have not personally seen any construction. The paper had a picture a couple of weeks ago showing one of the pre-cast concrete sections.....so that's pretty good evidence that the squabbling is over and the residents lost their battle. Mgram

One of the prettiest areas on this coast! Hope you catch a bunch....what's your prey...anything in particular?...snook, tarpon?...no clue what is in season. Hope it warms up a little for you .... it is 49� this morning. Mgram

Mgram/Flyrod: How far are you from Naples? My brother has been winter house hunting in Florida. I keep suggesting MIA or FLL, but he wants to be on the left coast!

About 2 hours south of here, Merm. I have to agree with him about the left coast!....more laid back. Naples is $$$$$ .... something about Collier County having the highest per capita whatever.... Mgram

Mermaid......Mgram can tell you the exact miles. I live in Minnesota but have been going to sarasota for over 25 years now to lido beach and we just love sarasota. its more of a small town type of city.

Flyrod....121miles....so it can be done in about 1� hours at the speeds we go on I-75....
