During the evening of Friday 8 February 2002, HRH The Princess Margaret suffered a stroke. She died in her sleep at the age of 71 the morning of Saturday 9 February 2002.

One of my dreams is to vacation on Mustique where she spent a lot of time.

Yes, her funeral service was on the 15th and in defiance of royal tradition, she was cremated per her wishes.

Pamda,

Our first cruise 16 yrs ago stopped at Mustique. We spent the day at this lovely small island. At that time she still had her house there & we walked by it...very nice. Mustique was so charming & small enough to walk all around it. Not having been back there since, I really hope it has remained that way.

I heard it on the news. They didn't make as much of a big deal out of it as I expected. The Queen has had a rough past few years.
