My computer crashed this weekend and I got it fixed on Sunday except for dsl. I need to get it reset through Houston. I couldn't get through. So all of those who emailed me and wondered why I didn't answer, that's it.
The computer is normal again, just can't get online till they do the reset.
I promise at lunchtime today, I will answer all the emails in my mailbox from the last three days!
Carole, did you see the travel section in Sunday's Houston Chronicle? It was all about the cruise ships that are here or are coming to Houston/Galveston. There were some great articles and it looks very promising that at some point in the future Houston/Galveston may be a major cruise port!
I spent three hours getting everything back to "normal". Lost a few things, but not much. Do those backups.
No, Nitestar, my danes eat the newspapers, so I don't get them delivered. Maybe it is still online in the archives. :O)
Bumble Bee! I LOVE that gif!!! I cannot tell you how often and by how many people those sentiments are felt! <> If the darn thing didn't cost so much I would have shot mine a long time ago. Carole, welcome back online. Good thing our insurance doesn't go up everytime our computer crashes! Uh-oh, I hope that doesn't give insurance companies any ideas!
Hey Dolphin, the USER fixed it!. I didn't send it in this time. I did it!
Actually about a week ago, my keyboard began acting stupid. Next thing I know, each time I start the puter, another dll died.
So I reset the config sys to the settings I had in Dec 2000 and everything is up and working. I reinstalled the O/S and when I can get online, I will upgrade my IE back to 6 instead of 5.5. Then I will have everything I started with.
Even my email etc I just backed up just before the keyboard trouble, so I have all my emails (that were saved it special folders, and all my addies! :O)
Dolphin - How is Jennifer? You haven't updated me on her job, etc.....
Jennifer is now a Vet Tech she assists the Vet durning surgery
IV's meds Lab work and sews the animals up right after surgery.
she is loving here job. My Dogs aren't she keeps violating them when she comes home. They sniff her when she comes in the door to check out all the new smells, and then runs for the other end of the house.
I couldn't be more proud of her right now.
Oh and as far as her arm. Looks like it's what we talked about will be nessary. She just doesn't want for It to take away from her job, plus she want be able to help in surgery for at least 3 weeks.
But the Dr. told her to get It done now before she gets any nerves involved and has real problems later.
I'll let you know as soon as the chicken is scared out of her.
This should take care of the ETC.. in your last message.
