I need a cruise so bad, I had to do this:
Echos
What memories these ancient waves must hold,
Explorers, merchants, warriors, pirates bold,
A search for wealth or fame their destiny.
They cast their fortunes on the churning sea.
The tiny Viking ships tossed in the gale,
And sturdy seamen following the whale,
The Polynesians searching for a home,
The clipper ships all skimming on the foam.
The glow of sunrise brightening the sky,
The giant pillowed storm clouds piled on high,
The phantom ships plunged deeply in the waves
To reach their ports or rest in watery graves.
The essence of the sea is in our soul.
To venture on the waves must be our goal.
Embedded in our hearts, this vow we keep,
To cruise once more across the boundless deep.
