I'm really in a dither. It's going to be one or the other. We were on the Radiance a few months ago and loved her but I'd like to try the Celebrity Summit too. We could get just about the same price on either one although the Summit is slightly cheaper. We've been on 9 RCI cruises and only one Celebrity. The itinerary is almost the same although the Summit goes to Costa Rica, Panama and Cartehena, Columbia. Does anyone have any input? It sure would be appreciated.
Tough decision! Does one itinerary have the edge over another? Have you been on a Millennium-class ship yet? Sounds like you certainly enjoy RCI, but are wanting to try something different.
With a toss-up like that, and you can't decide, ask your cabin mate!
I have done Royal Caribbean and Carnival and this May I am doing the Celebrity Millennium. I have enjoyed all the cruises I have been on, but everyone I talk to says I should try Celebrity--it is a cut above the others for basically the same price. I don't think you will go wrong with either, but you might as well try something different.
If you do try Celebrity, I would be very interested in how you thought it compared to RCL.
I have both brochures and I want to go in March 2003. I'm going on the Summit in May and generally don't repeat ships that soon. I haven't sailed with RCI since 1998 and I'd like to try the Brilliance! Interesting that someone else has the same dilemma! I'm going to see if they have a future cruise area set up on the Summit and if they will give me an early booking discount or something! I'm really interested in that 11 day cruise! Let me know what your decision is! Sue
Have done both Celebrity and RCI and personally I prefer Celebrity. All cruises are great however. A good suggestion was to ask your cabinmate. You can't go wrong with either cruise.
