Default The cleanest city in the world

There was a study released today that lists Calgary (my home) as the cleanest city in the world.
Knowing I live here, they must have been making this determination from an environmental view point, not in terms of clean minds <G>
Second on the list was Honolulu..... who's rating may drop in May when invaded by the CruiseMates Let's Get Lei'd Group.

Kuki--wait til the first Week in July, then Calgary may not be as clean as now. You know that is when all the bulls, cows and chuck wagons etc. envade your place.

And too, are you saying that us Lai'd folks are dirty. . We do pick up our gum wrappers, don't we? And I am sure we wont leave a lot Moose horns there.

Well anyway we do have fun where ever we are.

While we were in Grand Forks, North Dakota many years ago, we drove across part of Manitoba and too much of Saskatchewan. We thought the flat country would never end. Then we finally got to your beautiful Calgary. It made the whole long trip worthwhile.

Could it be just to darn cold to do anything outside. <VBG>

that study was done before they ever heard of Kuki!! and SeaFan's right -- it probably is too cold to do anything outside! so, Kuki, does that make you "environmentally safe"?????

Funny that Honolulu is #2. We were on 2 Hawaiian cruises last year plus pre and post time of 3 & 4 nights in Honolulu. After our second cruise and landing in Newark NJ on our return I remarked to my wife and brother-in-law about the debris surrounding Newark airport in comparison to Hawaii. It really hit home that we just left Paradise and we were returning to a 3rd world country.

Can't disagree with the findings. Calgary is really a pretty city and quite clean. Guess they just didn't take having Kuki as a resident into the mix. :-)

I've heard that the Christian motto for Calgary is "Many are "cold" but few are "frozen".

I used to be from L.A. I'm sure it ranks up there at 3rd or 4th cleanest! Now I'm a little 'ol Iowa girl. Canada is awesome, though never been to Calgary. Congrats on the status!
