This website tracks the hotels that Priceline uses and how much people pay for the rooms. I have always been afraid to use Priceline because you never know which hotels you will get.
After reading this website - I realized that if I bid 3 -4 stars in Fort Lauderdale section - I would get Embassy Suites, Marriott Marina or Rensaissance. Knowing that I would be pleased with any of the above - I bid $70 and got Embassy Suites. Right now, that hotel is going for $189 the night I want. There were some taxes/fees but the total came to $82. Excellent rate for Embassy Suites.
I think I have become a Priceline convert for hotels.
