Default postponement of cruise ??

Interested in booking cruise for mid-July. Always purchase cancellation insurance. Due to involvement in criminal trial which I might have to testify, will cruise lines work with me if I have to delay trip? With our legal system like it is I feel trial will be delayed from late April, but do not want to put my life on hold any more than it already is. Also do any of you tip your TA?

Hi Didi,
In most cases you have until final payment (usually 60 days) prior to the cruise where you can cancell without any penalty. You may also want to think about getting some travel insurance, but make sure if you have to cancel because of the trial, that its covered, read the fine print. Good luck and hope all your plans do work out and you can cruise!

I haven't actually tipped my TA but after she gave me a tip which resulted in a "suite upgrade" - I sent her flowers. I also sent her candy once (around her birthday).

I believe that the best "tip" you can give your TA is in referrals. If you are pleased with their service - tell your friends. When they are ready to cruise - they may use your TA. Referrals and repeat service is what TAs count on.

Sorry - can't help you with the insurance/date thing.

Just read the CSA policy and it states that jury duty is a covered reason. So I would assume that having to testify would also. But good advise, make sure you read the fine print.
