Default OK..I'll do todays POLL.. we can take turns

What's your favorite pre cruise or post cruise hotel?

For me it was (and will be again soon) the Hilton Hawaiian Village, on Waikiki Beach.
What a property!!

Kuki

Probably a tie for me. While not very fancy my couple of days at the Hotel Moorea Village just steps from the beach was fantastic. Sitting on my bungalow porch in the South Pacific was great.

Second favorite memory is my short pre-cruise stay at Hotel Heather in Victoria What better way to start a cruise than a personal tour and stay with a great friend?

Doug

With only one cruise to my name, and living w/in driving distance of FLL, I don't have a pre- or post-cruise hotel. And, again this April we will take the bus to the port the day of departure instead of taking our own car. Trying to see which works best for us.

But one of my favorite memories of a land trip was the Cancun Ritz Carlton.
We had a lovely ocean balcony room, the architecture was beautiful, as was everything.
We visited Tulum, X-Caret, etc. on that visit.

I think the Hilton Hawaiin is pretty cool and I stayed in San Juan at the hotel right at the Fort and that was great, nice views! If a beach and ocean view is involved, I'm there and happy!

Was that El Convento, Susie? If so, a personal favorite.

Pamda,

I WANT to stay at that hotel!

The best hotel that I have stayed at before a cruise is "Miami Inter-Continental" near Bayside. I wasn't sure what to expect and it turned out to be awesome. Sheraton Bal Harbour in Miami was also nice.

I am sure the best hotel for me is still yet to come! I can't wait to try Pan Pacific in Vancouver.

La Galeria San Juan in San Juan, Puerto Rico. I love it, love it, love it. It is the home of an ex-pat American artist, Jan D'Esopo and her husband, Manuco Gandia, a horseman. The bed and breakfast is full of Jan's art, paintings, sculptures, etc., and it is also a working art studio. I can't wait until we get a chance to go back again. Here's their website:

It's a wonderful place to stay.

No real hotel favorite for me. It's just a place to hang my hat before we can finally get on with the real thing - the cruise!!!!!

I love hanging around home, having a cup of coffee, and leaving at 10:00 am, or so, for the drive to the Port of Miami, or Port Everglades...

I have not yet found a favorite pre stay hotel. I guess it is the excitement about going on the cruise the next day. Most of the time we just do a one day pre cruise so I am hoping to find our favorite in Hawaii with the 2-day pre cruise.

Any B&B works for me. But the best hotel would definitely be the Sheraton Wall Centre in Vancouver. Great staff and location and watta view!!!!

LOEWS South Miami Beach. We really liked the pools and the beautiful beachs. Some great dining in the area as well as nite-life.
