Today's poll-- Favorite restaurants,bars in ports of call

All cruisers seem to have heard about Carlos & Charlies in Cozumel, but I bet there are A LOT of very cool... out of the way places.. that we know about. Spill the beans!

For us it would have to be Ottley's Plantation Inn on St. Kitts. We'd heard about it and made reservations ahead of time. This place was right out of the Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous.

Without a doubt, C restaurant in Vancouver on Howe Street right on the Burrard Inlet. Incredible seafood in a unique and beautiful restaurant where you can sit indoors behind a glass wall or outdoors on the patio, both with a great view of the inlet where you can watch the water taxis cross back and forth. It's Asian/North American fusion and includes caviar, oysters, salmon in quince syrup to start, then on to turbot, sablefish, mahi mahi or (my personal favorite and absolutely to die for) their Dover Sole with a mussel saffron cream. I remember sitting on the patio during a post-cruise stay and thinking it just didn't get any better than this!

Come to the Peak Cafe to watch the vivid sunsets from a viewpoint at the very top of the island. The menu is very varied, offering a huge choice of foods for every taste.

We are still in search for our favorite watering hole while cruising. We really enjoyed our time spent at Palmer's in Cozumel. This was the first time we had stop for libations while in port. So yes Divetex and Cruisecam were a bad influence on us. <G> I guess we will have to try and find other because we enjoyed this stop very much.

Heather Said it was Sr. Frogs. Matzalan. With baloon hats on our heads we left the bar and asked the cab driver to take us to that that big boat over there.
