Man, Harry, that's a tough one. There have been so many great ones. It could have been the prime rib on our first cruise on the Norway, or even the crawfish salad on the Sun Princess, but I think my favorite single dish was probably the rum raisin ice cream on the Sun Princess and Sea Princess.
One amusing thought here.....last night, I was imagining a poll for the WORST dish ever encountered on a ship.....
I can't remember any specific dish but I had a few "new to me" things that I never tried before because it sounded "too exotic". Hey I was only 19, and had never had capers or lox before. I am easy to impress, I know!! I liked them both but they are not my favorites. I am hoping I don't have to go to the alternative re$traunt to have some filet mignon because that is my luxury food of choice.

Re: Poll-best dish ever???
The Rack of Lamb on Celebrity gets my vote....Prime Rib comes in 2nd. For desert there are 2........Creme Brulee .... Last year on Millie, for our anniversary and again for a traveling companions birthday the very rich chocolate cake they served us was sinful. Usually those freebie occasion cakes are tasteless....but this was scrumptious!
We had a mushroom soup on the Carnival Pride in January that was superb. Of course, it wasn't called "mushroom soup," but I can't remember the fancy name they gave it. I wish now that I had asked for a second bowl of it.
All my life I had eschewed key lime pie as something that didn't sound very good. When we were on the Voyager of the Seas I tried it, and I thought I had died and gone to heaven! I had several pieces on that cruise, and I've tried it everywhere it's offered here in the Valley of the Sun ever since. None of it has even approached that which I had on RCI.
On the Summit I fully expect to find LOTS of new favorites!
