My first cruise was in 1995 with my cousin. She lives in Virginia and I live in Arizona, so we hardly ever get to see each other. We decided to go on vacation together, and I had always wanted to go on a cruise, so that's what we decided to do. We decided on Carnival because that was what we could afford at the time (turned out to be a GREAT choice!), and then picked the ship and itinerary this way: At the time, the cruises all seemed to cost the same for the same number of days, so we picked the one that went the farthest away from home, all the way to South America, Venezuela! We figured we might as well see something we might not see otherwise. Second cruise was picked strictly to be able to see my future husband, third was picked for the ship, next one for the chance to inaugurate a new ship, and the next one for the company onboard, the Let's Get Lei'd group! The next one on our horizon, though not booked yet, is going to be a transit of the Panama Canal. We're going to get serious about surfing the internet for the right cruise as soon as we get back from the Summit.

OK - here we go - my short but distinguished cruising history:

1991 - Carnival Fantasy to Bahamas (really did not like it for a number of reasons)

May 1999 - Sea Princess to Alaska (her first ever cruise to Alaska), this is the one that got me hooked on cruising.

December 1999 - Grand Princess Eastern Caribbean

June 2000 - Rembrandt 2 day to nowhere out of Baltimore - despite all the hassles and problems with the ship, she really was a gem of a ship!

February 2001 - Millennium Western Caribbean

January 2002 - Sea Princess Mexican Riveria (had to go back to my first love!)

Next one??????? But, I do have an open booking on Princess to be used before 11/2/2004!!

It was something I always dreamed of...you know got the bug from watching the Love Boat. About the time daughter #2 graduated from HS I was needing a vacation real bad. I always thought cruises would be too expensive. The travel agent showed me they werent and we went on our first, Premier's BRB SS Atlantic in Aug of 1994. We have had the bug ever since. The next year we went for our 25th wedding anniversary on Tropicale in May 1995...the rest is history.....

Fascinantion May 1999
Celebration April 2000
Victory Aug 2000
Century Oct. 2001

and to come:
Days till Destiny

Days till Spirit

Days till Pride

We always thought cruises would be very crowded, and we are 2 people that hate crowds! But, in 2001 hubby was working 60 + hours per week (more like 70!) and we were looking for a way to vacation and for him to rest up at the same time.....our first cruise on the Grand to Eastern Caribbean, and we were hooked!!!!

Second cruise coming up in 2 days, also on the Grand to Western Carib.

And then, ??????? More cruises, for sure!!!!!!!!!

WOW!!! I am sooooo jeolous!!..lol...I have only been on two cruises now and I just wanna go back sooooo bad!!! Don't know when that'll be tho..boo hoo..
Anyway..a co-worker had asked me to go on cruise with her last year because she had the opportunity to do one. At first I was like yea right,I could never afford a cruise! Well,
thank gooness for "Earned Income Credit" from Uncle Sam...lol...cause that's where I got the $400.00 for the cruise, then we saved up for the airline tickets..$269.00 round-
trip and $500.00 for spending money that was gone on my third night out at Sea!!..lol.
A total of $1,169.00!! Not bad for the most awesome thing I've ever done!!!! Then I booked the second cruise for just me and my 2 sons because I just had to let them see for themselves what it was like. Then I became engaged and added my fiance on to the ship with us..Again, just over the thousand dollar range for the the four of us! Of course that doesn't count the rental car,2 motels,food..blah...blah...blah....Ok here's my
list....don't laugh at me,,,,lol

1) Majesty of the Seas...........September 2001
2) Sovereign of the Seas.......March 2002

Wishing #3 was a reality and not just a dream!!! lol

I think I've been on the perfect cruise ... Song of Flower in the Pac Rim.

Well, maybe it was Sea Cloud in the Caribbean ...

I like small ships and unusual itineraries.

Hi: we only have one cruise so far but it was fabulous. On Dawn Princess during Thanksgiving. Eastern Caribean. Had never been in the Caribbean before. Got interested in cruises from watching Love Boat and talking with other people who had been on cruises. I had quite a time talking my wife into going and this other couple into going as well. However, it was the best vacation we had ever been on. I mean, where else can you vacation and feel like you are the President and want for nothing???

Anyway.....the next cruise is on Carnival's Fascination and we leave in 10 days, unless you are talking about "working" days then it is only 5 days! This will interesting as I hear and see so much on the boards here about Carnival's reputation so it will be fun to compare them to Princess.

We got started as a once in a lifetime cruise on the Song of America when it first sailed in 1982. We were used to renting motor homes and camping on Diane’s two-week vacation. Being a teacher I had the summer off when I wasn’t teaching summer school. We got hooked
.
Song of America 2 Car. Mexico Constitution Hawaii
Tropical Mexico 2 Mexico Nordic Prince Car.
Dawn Princess Alaska Sun Viking Car.
Sovereign of the Sea Car. Viking of Serenade Mexico
Monarch of the Sea Car. Jubillee Panama
Majesty of the Sea Car Nordic Empress Car
Song of Norway Med. Star Princess Alaska
Legend Of Sea Hawaii Splendour Of Sea Europe
Dawn Princess Panama new Elation 3 Mexico
Enchantment of the Sea Can. Legend of the Sea Europe
Grandeur of the sea Car. Rhapsody of the sea Mexico
Royal Princess S. Amer. Destiny Car.
Spirit Car. Voyager of the Sea Car.

See what I mean. Teach

When the HAL ship line calls and ask's what type of pillows would you like on the cruise you just booked . Freathers or foam she asked. Freathers it is!!!!!!
