New Poll: How Many Shoes?
OK - here is a question that might get things stirred up! How many pairs of shoes do you take on a 7 - 10 day cruise? Me, I got by on my last 7 day cruise with 4 pairs - black dress shoes, tennis shoes, white canvas slip ons and one pair of aqua shoes.
Crown Princess 1/18/14....the NEW Me, Myself and I cruise!
For my Summit cruise, I'm taking a pair of flats, dress shoes, sandals and gym shoes and of course, my water shoes. I used to travel with a dozen pairs of shoes but I've learned they take valuable space and are there really feet police??? Now I have to go for comfort and be more sensible! Sue
TEVA ???? I'm sure out of it-- dont even know what they are-- my feet hate shoes-- but I have to wear them--my feet cant go barefoot either----
Usually four-- tennis shoes or some type of walking shoe - black sort of dress up one and sandle style and water shoes
More than I care too but it part of the cruise
April-- going to check out TEVAS
Oh let's see...
dive booties (first priority)
1-2 pairs of dress shoes (depending on my evening attire)
loafers (slip on)
work out shoes (though I have yet to use them!) Shame... shame....
Limit myself to a total of 4: 1 dress (always pack in single color category)
2 sandals ( red and either bone or black)
1 gym/walking (wear as these are large & heavy)
Have done fine this way on 7-10 day cruises. Might add a second walk/gym if go 2 weeks on a port intensive cruise, but unlikly since we can't be on our feet that much so I'd probably only do 1/2 days in some ports.
ok girls....this is right up my alley, and it sort of came about in a roundabout way...On my 1st cruise i packed probably about 6-8 pair, [my 1st job ever was selling shoes, so i come by this honestly] and at this time I found out that flying made my feet swell. One of the pair I brought was a pair earmarked for the pool..A well worn pair of Sam & Libbies,in a fabulous poolside shade of fuschia, with little woven people on them...[how cute]..well as the cruise progressed with all that salty food, GUESS WHAT? The Libbies were the ONLY pair i good get my Michelin tire feet into! Imagine, dressed to the nines in black tie for the capatins night and me in my fuschia shoes!!!! It seems every woman had a remedy for me to try , but alas, nothing worked..And not much has ever helped me since;( Sitting bulkhead and using a Steiner product has helped a bit at times, SOOOOO, my shoe condo gets packed with about 15 shoes... hopefully i may fit into about 6-8?? and if i precrusie in Fort Lauderdale, the odds will be that i will have a couple more to add While all the above is absolutley positivley the gospel truth, i must admit> my name is LInda and i am a devout Shoe-aholic, and proud of it...Trip/Friday Chat Host
Being a shoe horse, and just owning probably 60+ pairs, I always end up taking around 8-10 pair - and wear all of them at least once. My problem is I buy shoes, then the outfit to go with them as opposed to doing it the other way like sane people do.
