How cool. Can't wait to see the pictures of this. I have fond memories of watching my brothers and mother trying really hard to fly a kite from the Mississippi Queen....didn't quite work out but we had lots of laughs anyway.

The record held is on a River Boat three yrs ago by nine people in the United States. I am looking for 30+ International kite flying Cruisemates to blow this record away on the Summit. We can achieve our objective with a good attitude, bravery and fortitude. As seen on TV the show Survivor (they stole our concept) they had No Fear and did their best! Im not saying this is going to be easy. It may require some attention to various factors such as the correct type of kite, string strength and given weather conditions at the time of launch. Be prepaired to have a kite to withstand 25 mph winds and possible loss in action. GOOD LUCK fellow kite fliers we can do this!
Are you saying that the record is 9 or 30? We must be able to beat 9. Come on guys and gals, bring your kites and let's go for the record. (and have a blast doing it)
The US Coast Guard today reported that it has located and taken under tow the Clebrity cruise ship Summit after a mysterious inceident at sea. The ship was sailing from Hawaii to Vancouver and reports are the cruise had been proceding normally except for an unusually high number of incidents caused by a group of passengers aboard.
When questioned the Captain said they had been on course until mid afternnon when the ship suddenly slowed, then came to a stop mid ocean. Coast Guard speculation is that a fishing net is wrapped around the propellers but is puzzled as the ship was far from any normal fishing areas.
In an unrelated story the Coast Guard also reported that one of the ships bars seems to have been taken over by a group of passengers wearing antlers, pajamas and Hawaian shirts. This has been unconfirmed.
More details to follow when the ship reaches the nearst port.
Hope you guys all have fun, I'll be watching the news!
