Default Infinity..Hawaii..4-03-03

Hi! This is my first try at this so I hope it works.
Wishing I was going to Hawaii in a few weeks.
I'm looking forward to hearing all about this
years trip. My husband and I have been on
two cruises so far. Western Carib on Millenium, and
Southern Classic recently on Princess Dawn.
This sure does get addicting! Phyllbo

Hi, Phyllbo ==>

Something to think about...

I believe the Infinity to Hawaii on May 3, 2003 leaves from Ensenada. This means you have to get to San Diego and then take a 3 - 4 hour bus trip to Ensenada. You get on board, enjoy your cruise, and then disembark in Honolulu. It's been my experience flying from Honolulu to Dallas, that flights typically leave in the afternoon and arrive here around 6:00 AM CST.

The Infinity will turn around in Hawaii, cruise the islands, and then go to Vancouver, BC. For us, this cruise means we'll leave Dallas in the morning of May 20th and arrive in Honolulu in the early afternoon, their time. This allows time to see a bit of Honolulu, get on board and get some rest before the cruise begins. The ship leaves at 11:00PM I believe. Getting home for us is about a 4 hr flight...as opposed to the red-eye flight from Honolulu.

For us, the Honolulu to Vancouver itinerary is far more convenient than the Ensenada to Honolulu trip. And you get another day...11 days as opposed to 10.

Jim
Thank you for the info. Our cruise is in April and will
originate in Honolulu, and go to Ensenada. We're hoping
to get to Honolulu for 2 days prior and then spend a night
in San Diego before we head back to Wisconsin. We thought
there would be less trouble with jet lag when we get back by
doing it this way. A year is a long wait, but this little message
board helps.

Hi Lisa,
I like you're little graphic. Maybe someday I'll figure out
how to do that. How are you enjoying this lovely day?
Summer is bound to return.

Phyllbo ==>

At least you're going in the right direction...but personally, I think I'm gettin' too old for that 3+ hour ride from Ensenada to San Diego. In Vancouver, the airport is a 30 min taxi ride from the terminal...and the scenery is much nicer.

Tell ya' what...stash a jug of Mai Tai's to bring back all the fond island memories on that long bus trip :>)
