Default No Longer a DDM

The other day I was delighted because I became a DDM. Today we changed that status. I had been pondering for a while taking with me a woman that is slightly retarded. She lives in my home and I take care of her. A week or so ago I called her guardian and got the ball rolling. Today I booked for March 1 on Carnival Spirit from San Diego to the Mexican Riviera. She is sooooooooooo excited but cannot comprehend the size of the ship. We have a 28 ft cabin cruiser on Lake Winnipesaukee and she keeps asking if the ship is as big as that!!!! We are going to fly to San Diego 2 days early and spend a day at the zoo. Sohere we go again on the loooooong count down to being a DDM then SDM then GONE CRUISING!!!

Cruznut2, That will seem like a very long countdown for her I am sure! A countdown calendar might be good to have? Plus, the SDiego zoo is fantastic!! You and her should have a great time!!!

While it has increased your countdown..It will be worth the wait to do what you are doing for such a lucky woman who otherwise might not get to experience this cruise.
Your heart is big and it is quite a lovely gesture on your part..I truly hope you two enjoy the cruise and I know she will be shocked at the size of the ship.>G<

Wow!!!
That was really nice. I'm sure that she is super excited. What an experience.

You live on a beautiful lake. My father's cousin was a dentist in Wolfboro and we used to visit once in awhile. Haven't been in over 25 years. I'm sure that it is still as picturesque as I remember.

Wow, that was such a nice thing for you to do. She's a lucky person to have you in her life. I know you're going to have fun sharing the cruising experience with her.
