Returning to our cabin tonight, for our last sleep on board the Summit, we received our final "Summit Daily", the onboard newsletter.
To our surprise we found a section congratulating CruiseMates on setting a new world record for the number of kites flown off a cruise ship.
We'll be attempting to verify/register this with the Guiness Book of Records on our return, with pictures and video that were taken.
A MOST enjoyable, laughter filled cruise, came to a fitting end tonight, with all the staff in casino bedecked in antlers. Special bonds were formed on this cruise not only by all the cruisemates who participated, but also with the staff of this magnificent ship.
As they say "All good things must come to an end". I know you will be very sad to leave this great ship and all the great people.

After several trys I finally got mine up. And then the string broke and mine was the first to hit the drink. So sad that my Walmart Special had to go first. No Problem I was gonna cut the line anyway. At least we got enough in the air the set the record. Dang ship was forming too much of a back draft. Anyway my younger days of kite flying have gone.
