Re: American airline phasing out paper tickets
I don't mind e-tickets - BUT the airlines have to start cooperating and accept each others e-tickets without making customers stand in line to change their e-tickets into paper tickets and then stand in line at the next airline to get a flight on the newly issued paper tickets - it is a major pain to the passengers - once the airlines take care of this then I will not have a problem with mandatory e-tickets.

Re: Re: American airline phasing out paper tickets
Our friends just had a negative experience with AmT. They had made reservations by phone to fly out on June 26. When they called the day before (June 25) to confirm, they were told that their plane had just taken off! The reservations clerk had the day wrong. They had never received anything in writing so it was their word against the airlines. They were offered another flight for $80 extra, which made them angry, and they cancelled their trip. The airlines finally said they would apply credit toward another flight in the future.
