Default Ocean Fact QUESTION

What percentage of the Earth's surface water is frozen in glaciers?

No cheating.

The answer is approxiately 1.863%. The key here is that although 69% of the earth's fresh water is stored as glacier ice (30% as ground water and 1% in lakes, rivers, etc.) , fresh water only comprises 2.7% of the earth's entire water supply. Do the math. )Of course, this doesn't include the amount stored in frozen margaritas.)

Oh, I forgot. That was from way back in Geology 101, "the water cycle."
