this one didn't make it. No where but Texas would you find a cow in a tree. Recent floods floated this fine heifer to a loftier perch.

I believe this animal was rescued....many in Texas were not so lucky, and have lost their lives to the flood.

Mermaid - how sad. The animals and wildlife are the true "unkown" victims of natural disasters. My heart goes out to all victims of the weather down there.

But seriously, I hope things dry out for the affected areas real soon. How tragic for all of the people.

Seriously, though, the cow was lucky. The problem wasn't just houses getting flooded. Some were floated off their foundations and down the rivers intact. People drowned, as did lots of animals. Not a good thing.

It's always the case of too much or not enough....we could sure use some of that Texas rain....our lawn is completely brown. The poor kid across the street can't make any money (she cuts our grass).
