Default Travel requirements???

Well, since the deposit is made for the Regal Princess on 1/8/2003, I've been perusing airfares (currently have the cruise line airfare booked) for what I may expect on departure times, etc.

While looking at the Quantas site, it tells me that a visa-type (ETA) is needed, however, when I checked with Princess, I was told that it was not.

Anyone know (Quantas site says it can't be purchased until you have the airfare)? Or is this something that I'll get with the travel docs and is handled by Princess, like the Turkish Visa?

Thanks ernie, but I had already been there.

Does Princess handle this automatically when the air is purchased thru them? That is what I'm asking.

Your TA is suppose to get your ETA Visa for you at no charge for Australia.

You can actually get the ETA (Electronic Travel Authority I think) on your own.
I too was told that your travel agent handles it at no charge, but when I used Skyscraper Tours she made it very clear that she wouldn't do it. One of the reasons I changed travel agents. If I had to fight to get service, I figured I'd go elsewhere, which I have for the last 3 cruises I have booked!

well..suzie...I didn't say "I wouldn't"...you knew the website (in fact you emailed me the link and asked about it)and I thought you could handle it...no big deal. But if you call *that* a lack of service, I call it a misscommunication...it happens. I didn't think this is was big deal...obviously it was to you but you didn't communicate that to me. I do so much on the web and it is so easy that I didn't think twice about saying book it online...good luck!
