Garment steamer allowed??

I believe steam irons are not allowed in cabins. However, are hand held garment steamers permitted? Has anyone used them in their cabins?

Yes, Gus....they are allowed and yes, I used one on our last cruise....of course, it didn't work as well as an iron....but it was better than nothing.

Another way to steam garments is to hang them in the bathroom while taking a shower. Then "stretch" out the wrinkles. This has worked well on my formalwear that is difficult to iron.

Gus we bring a steamer plus the downy wrinkle spray. Both of those worked out great on our Summit cruise. The downy wrinkle spray worked better than using the steamer. I used the downy on all of my formal wear without any problems we even used it on my husband's tuxedo.
