Default What's your experience with Internet prices on board?

Carnival had a $3.50 set-up fee plus $.75 per minute. I got the fee waived by using time during a happy hour promo. I did find a hotel offering $.21 per minute that I dropped into at Key West, had a drink, and sent a post.

How do other cruise lines rate?

Princess is $7.50 for 15 minutes. Tad on the expensive side for me. Usually have pretty good luck finding an internet cafe in whatever port we are at the time.
Hope my luck holds in South America ! :-))

We use the ones on board, but often depend on repeaters' club coupons for free time. We pay for them when we have to, since it's so much cheaper than using the phone. It's definitely less expensive at port internet cafes, where it's not unusual to find 1/2 hour for $5, or less.

What do you suppose we'd say if Alexander Graham Bell had invented the telephone after the internet came along? "What do I need e-mail for, now I can actually talk to someone!!"

Thomas

On Celebrity's Millennium class ships you can get unlimited use for the entire cruise for $100. (In your own cabin) That can be a bargain for some of us......but you'll need to bring your own lap top. We're doing a 12 day Hawaii on Infinity next year and I'm thinking about it......
