Has anyone used the Carnival transfers?I have heard they are a bit a nightmare. Does anyone have any good alternatives. There are three of us at 30.00 a head for round trip carnival transfers. We also really don't need to go back to the airport after bacause we are staying at disney 2 days after the cruise. If anyone has a good hotel recommendation close to disney world that would be appreciated also.I sure appreciate having all this travel knowledge to tap into. Thanks,Mariann
Have rented cars to get from Orlando (Disney World) to Port Canaveral both times that we took the Disney Magic. The car rental is fairly close to the terminal and they had a shuttle. Also, we had a cab driver one time in the Port Canaveral area who offered to take us back to Orlando. May also want to check into private limo/shuttle services. The transfers with the ship can be a hassle.
Rather than use the Cruise line shuttle you can walk down to the lower level where the bagage is located and you will find many alternates for transportation that will take you any where. If you are interested in car rentals there are several counters in the Terminal I.e. National, Budget and several more. Alamo and Hertz are off property and have to take a bus. Depends on the time of year the rates per day average about $32 per day that can carry up to 4-5 people. Check it out. Use the internet to book the cars.
