Default Passport prices increasing

If you have put off getting a passport - you may want to do it now:

Passports are going up on August 19.

oh no......Guess I will have to get mine taken care of ASAP...to think itīs going to be even more expensive. Mind as well take care of it now as long as I donīt really need it and can mail it to them. Otherwise it means actually going to Berlin...four hours one way...that makes my passport very expensive! Done that, been there!

Thanks for passing this on,

Suzanne

Mine expires in 2003 so thanks for the heads up Theresa. I was going to wait and do it in Jan./Feb. but now I'll have to figure out how to get it handled.

I retire July 31 and I'm spending all of August through Labor Day with my sister, guess I better get busy! Sue

Hi Guys,

I was going to post this a couple of days ago when I saw it on another board but I couldn't find anything else to back it up and wasn't sure if it was true.

Today at work - one of my coworkers sent me that link above. Hope it saves some people some money.

----------------

Also - rumor is that someone who frequents this board often received "passport money" for Christmas from their daughter (to purchase a passport) but who hasn't actually purchased their passport yet. Now is the best time!!!!! Hint, hint!

Theresa

April,

How did you know I was talking about you?

AAA often does free photos.

But if you want to impress someone - go to a real photographer and ask for a passport photo. Then you can get a professional photograph on your passport. I did that for my first one - only because I was in a group and we got cheap rates from this person.
