decided to add some excitement to my day and count the coins i´ve been saving in my "cruise" fund. plopped myself down on the floor with my tacky piggy bank (was originally for saving for trips to hawaii...fat pink pig dressed in a red aloha shirt, rainbow lei and sunglasses), pulled the stopper out and poured the change out. there i sat on the floor with a mountain of change and my left hand to sort. too bad there wasn´t a video camera running. <g> it was quite entertaining - at least for dh, who refused to help me!
what seemed like an eternity later i finally counted a whopping 72.56 Euros ($70~) worth of change! i was only throwing in my 50cent and lower pieces in there while dh has been dumping in every coin he had in his wallet at the end of the day, including the 1 and 2 Euro coins
what a guy! he said that what we have saved so far will maybe cover the interest on our credit card bill after the cruise. lol
i dumped it all into a plastic bag so that dh can put it in our savings account tomorrow (he´s gotta do something, right?). new month...new savings! probably won´t be as much as i can´t get out shopping....lol...far more money will be saved that ways anyways!
