I like a nice balance. The Cruismates Thanksgiving cruise looks about perfect for me.
A day at sea and then a day in port is my preference.

Phyll

Some ports are the reason we cruise, but we are with Phyll, we like the ports but we also like the sea days. Even more sea days than port days would suit us fine.

The Greek Isles are my fantasy destination and I love to go ashore there.
But otherwise, give me two sea days in a one-week voyage. With three, I get stir-crazy.
But two days at sea to be utterly free of any responsibilities, to have a rare day just pleasing myself, is incredible.

I once made a ten-day transatlantic crossing from France to Ft. Lauderdale. A new ship just out of the ship yard and a handful of passengers. There was no email, the TV/VCR didn't work. It was one of the best experiences of my life. Sublime to be in the Atlantic with nothing to do. Each moment glided into the next.

I love those sea days! So peaceful, so relaxing, nothing to do but decide what time you want to eat! Sue

In the caribb..sea day fan here!! Though a few ports mixed in for fun is a nice diversion. I could easily take a 7 day cruise to nowhere. Think eventually a cruise line should give one of these a shot. Bet they would do surprisingly well. And look at all the shipboard revenue that would garner.

For me, its a good mix between both the "sea" days and "port" days. One of the best parts of cruising is seeing so many different places, the sea days come in for a rest of busy port days :-)

For me any day is the best day. Just as long I'm on a cruise ship......

I love the sea days, too! I am with Kuki, a 7 day cruise to nowhere would be great! However, I would hate to be the cruise director on that sailing! Trying to keep a shipful of people occupied with enough choices of intertaining things to do for 7 days would be quite a challange, would'nt it?!

I enjoy both sea and port days. They each have charms of their own.

I think Harry said just what I was thinking:
>Sea days are when I relax.Port days when I have fun. Either works for me :-)

Cheers,
Michelle B.

Ok, see if this answers that question.
If we were on a 14 day cruise, I would like at least 10 sea days and one port day!

Something about being at sea and rocked to sleep everynight. So peaceful and calming.
