What a gorgeous town, Sue! All that old-world charm! And it'll be so pretty all decked out for Christmas! Wish I was going.

I also wish I knew German - instead I just had to look at the pretty pictures.

Thanks guys Indeed it is so beautiful. We always rent a house up in the mountains for get this about $250 a week! 2 bed,kitchen, washer,dryer living room and large deck. It is very nice. I will post some pictures when we get back. Thank you again for your interest .....

I like those pictures Sue, thanks for posting them. When you had said you were going to Germany and gave the street name I had tried to find the town through Google but had no luck. It's just as I had imagined.

I'd love to spend some real time in Germany sometime. The last time we were there was only briefly and only in the major cities. We love exploring the smaller towns and villages to get the real feel of the local culture.

Thomas and everyone...indeed Germany is very magical. I think christmas is a very special time in Germany. I have been telling the kids how and what we do over christmas and cry every time I tell them! How silly. But did you guys know christmas is celebrated on the eve of the 24th? Plus all stores are closed on late 24,25.26! This gives so much extra time for families. My mom is in a nursing home <parents are divorced> and I will see her again after 2-3 years. I am very blessed.... At the site if you go to shopping on the left hand side are all street names. I clicked on there and I see places I used to walk. Very pretty....

Thomas if you ever go I give you all the info on the place we will be staying.It's just a 20 minute mountain drive to the main Town Fulda and Fulda has so much to offer. Btw they let you bring your dog too and they do not charge extra.But we will leave her at home since it will be too cold over there.Plus 25-30 hours of travel will be too much for her I think.

Thank you. We will be returning to Germany sometime and when we do we will definitely stop in to see Fulda. It looks like the kind of place we search for when we go on vacations.

My weiner dog would feel right at home there don't you think?

I agree Thomas the dog can go well over there.I am debating if we should take pebbles too.It is only $200 rt for her.But I think maybe we pass due to the weather conditions over there<freezing,snow>
