Default time zone

We will be on the conquest out of new orleans which is on central time. Will the ship stay on that time as we go to the western caribbean?? We are thinking about doing the Capt Marvins snorkel tour and want to make sure the times are correct.

Thanks,

Hi Shawn...
In most cases the ships will switch to local times... you'll likely gain and lose an hour on sea days during the cruise.

Conquest is Carnival I believe and Carnival normally uses the ship time and does not change for the different time zones. I've been on 3 Carnival cruises and they always used ship time. Now Royal Carib would change. Frankly we preferred going by ship time.

It differs from cruise line to cruise line and from ship to ship in each seperate cruise line!!! A lot of times it is the decision of the Captain of the vessel who makes the decision.
