Default Hey Marc

My fiance Mark and I were looking at the website for Bern's Steakhouse in Tampa last night. We'd like to eat there someday, but it sure looks expensive! How much money should we save up? In other words, how much does a typical meal there cost? We're so curious, it looks delicious. Thanks for the info!

Cheers,
Michelle B.

Hi Michelle: I've never eaten there however when I see "caviar" listed on the menu....I'm outa there. Too expensive even without looking at the menu. Unless you are celebrating something?????

I have eaten at a Ruth Chris Steak House....that was excellent and an ok price....it's the wine etc that drives up a dinner check. Tampa is a nice town. Bob

Hey Bob, Marc recommended this place and I was just speculating. Might be fun to try, but indeed on a "special occasion" as you say. I've never tried Ruth's Chris either, that looks good too and I'd like to try it as well. Although I've heard people say they've eaten there and didn't know what the fuss was about. (Sigh) So many restaurants, so little money...

Cheers,
Michelle B.

Michelle: There are so many good restaurants in Florida. For a fun time I like the Bahama Breeze on the cause way in Tampa. There is also a very good and intimate restaurant on Dale Mabry. It's an Italian name and I can't recall it. Has vallet parking and we were told "famous" people frequent it. The dinning room is a series of catacombs sort of. You knwo you are surrounded by pople, you just can't see many of them. mmmm....I think I need a business trip to FLA as it is 30F here today. Bob

Michelle:

I think it cost around $120 for the two us including dessert and one cocktail but no wine with dinner. No ala carte here. All dinners come with salad and vegetables with refills. Well worth it considering we spent $228 for dinner at Delfinos at the Portofino last weekend which was pretty bad.
