Questions about cruise

Hi,I have a few questions about my cruise.I am a first time cruiser.I am cruising on carnival celebration Dec 21 02.This Saturday!!!!!!!My questions are.... Is there a teen club on this ship,what activities does it offer for kids 12-16.What do we wear in the dining room?Please give me ANY info you have on this ship or even this line (Carnival).I am leaving this Friday and have no clue what to expect.Any info would be WONDERFUL!!!!!!Thank You for your time!!!

Well, Andee, can't help with the activities, but can give you generalized tips on clothing......there should be at least one formal night on your cruise (two if it is a 7 day cruise), the other nights are casual dress - casual means anything except torn jeans , t-shirts and shorts in the dining room.....maybe some nice capri pant and tops, or sundress, or skirt outfits. Formal night is definitely a dress/skirt outfit night. I also wouldn't worry too much about finding other teens in the 12-16 age range......somehow they all seem to find each other!

ANDEE - Carnival has activites for kids - they go by age - your 12yr old would be in the youth activites group and your 16yr old would be with the teen activities - go to Carnival's web site its full of information. As for dress - Formal nights- dark suit or tux for men/boys - dressy cocktail or long dress for ladies/girls. The rest of the cruise is - resort or smart casual - which basically means things like Dockers pants/polo, hawaiian shirts for men/boys -no t-shirts or shorts - I like to wear sundresses with flat sandals and a light sweater for my casual wear. Bring a light jacket/sweater - the dining rooms can be cool, as can be out on deck at night. Don't forget your sunscreen, sneakers for walking and water shoes/sandals because beach sand and the ships decks can get hot. I also think that fanny/hip packs are a must- for each family member - keep your wallet, id and ship card with you at all times - this is also a theft deterrent - much more difficult to get into a fanny pack than it is to lift a wallet out of a back pocket.

Jeans are fine for men - Texas is mostly jeans. My hubby wears white or black colored jeans with nice button down shirts. No shorts. This is for dinner. Lunch is shorts. Have a wonderful time! You will love it! I've been on that ship 3 times and have enjoyed every minute! Any specifics on the ship or other questions email me.. Try not to do everything this trip because you will want to go again! Wash your hands a lot too with all this virus stuff going around - it is all around Houston right now just watch what you touch and wash your hands. I might even bring a can of Lysol and spray the cabin. I've had the flu on cruises before and it is not fun. Enjoy! Debbie
