Default Post Cruise Blues ~ Veterans Please Advise

We returned from our SS Norway Cruise on Dec 29th. It was my first time and DH's first time "at sea" for R&R. The cruise was fabulous....better than my wildest dreams. There's always a lot to deal with after being away....sorting thru mail, washing, summer clothes back out of sight for months again, grocery shopping, etc. Also, some cruise related things like writing a review and scanning pictures to put in the photo gallery. OK....they're done. The review has been posted; the pictures transferred in. WOW....what now? Such a let down. I'm pretty sure the remedy is to begin to make plans to go again, right? Since I'm new at this, I just need your seasoned advice to reassure me I'm headed in the correct direction! :-))

My advice is to start researching and planning the next cruise, keep in touch on the cruise boards and live vicariously through others about to sail!

Definately headed in the proper direction Nan. Now that you have had a 'taste' of the cruise lifestyle you can research to your hearts content right here at cruisemates reading others reviews as well as news articles and check out the bargains being offered. Posting here in the message boards is also a fantastic way to gather information. Welcome to the 'family' of the hopelessly addicted. <G>

PCD is nothing to laugh at. It can seriously compromise your daily life. There is no turning back for you now. The hook has been set forever.

Planning a cruise can keep some of the symtoms at bay, but a booking works best.

I say, Get Well Soon, and C R U I S E !

Cruise Blues can best be beat by researching the next place you'd like to go. Send for brochures from NCL, RCI, Princess, Carnival, Celebrity to get through the blahs!!!

I have a stack here now (even though I have a cruise booked for March) just to get me through the Midwest winter!!! My mailman is always kidding me about my cruise mail!

Now that you're an addict, post here often, that does help alot, too!!!

The only cure is the next cruise, but the symptoms can be relieved somewhat by:

1.Booking the next cruise
2.Posting here often so you know you aren't alone
3.Booking the next cruise
4.Stop in chat and we will try and cheer you up
5. Booking the next cruise
6. Reading all the brochures from all the cruiselines
7. Booking the next cruise
8. Researching which cruise you want to do next
9. Booking the next cruise

and

10. If all else fails, Book Your Next Cruise

Glad you enjoyed Norway.

Nan,

I agree with the rest of the gang, start researching the next one in preparation for booking!

I really enjoyed reading your review of the Norway. Jose and I have been thinking about giving her a try, and your review was very helpful.

Welcome to CruiseMates, stop by often, post often and let us get to know you!

You guys are great! I was pretty sure you'd have the answer for my PCD (a new one to me...cute)....you didn't let me down. I guess it's a little like a hangover....requiring something akin to the "hair of the dog" as an antidote. Hey...I can live with that! I'll be around now, living vicariously thru the next cruiser and sharing whatever I've picked up so far. That "so far" part is the rub, eh?....there much more to learn, so setting the groundwork for another cruise to get more experience is definitely in order. :-)) Thanks again.

I have to agree with previous posts, PCD is a terrible thing and the only cure is to BOOK ANOTHER ONE! I know, we just returned Jan. 2 from our New Year's cruise and in less than a week, my husband researched and booked the next one for next year. For now, all I can do is hang around these message boards...
