Default World Cruise Day at Port Everglades

Just returned from Port Everglades... sunny and crisp day... with two ships across from each other sailing off on their full world cruises. At Pier 21, the legendary and beautiful QE2, lading stores and embarking passengers as she prepares to sail off on her 107 day cruise around the world. Across the narrow peninsula, at pier 24 was the Seven Seas Mariner... also starting her world cruise (technically it begins in California, after a Panama Canal transit, but lots of full world cruise people get on here.).

Anyway, a nice day to be in the Port with the grand QE2 and the Seven Seas Mariner in town!

Ernie:

Not so nice day!!!

I had to get off the Mariner this morning after 19 wonderful days. Ship was fantastic. Crew was wonderful. Food marvelous. We asked if there was a way to stowaway but couldn't figure out how to do it.

Two more booked (and one open booking for Marquesas 2004) but it will be a long wait!!

Marc... nice to hear from you after so long a silence. I was wondering about how you were doing. I agree... nothing worse about a ship than the leaving of it!

We had a handful of pax already onboard for world cruise, a total 141 days. I heard that approx 100 out of a total of around 230 full world cruise pax were boarding in Port Everglades.

We disembarked Amsterdam after glorious back-to-backs for the Holidays on January 4 and Amsterdam was headed off for her 108 day World Cruise....As much as we enjoyed our cruises, the WC did not tempt me in the least.
