Default Warm Caribbean Cruise???

I thought the Northerners would appreciate this weather alert for the Keys:

...A WIND CHILL ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FOR THE UPPER KEYS FOR LATE
TONIGHT AND EARLY FRIDAY MORNING...

TEMPERATURES MAY DROP TO RECORD LOWS CLOSE TO 40 DEGREES OVER
PORTIONS OF THE UPPER KEYS LATE TONIGHT AND EARLY FRIDAY. AT THE SAME
TIME...STRONG NORTH WINDS MAY STILL BE BLOWING 15 TO 20 MPH. THIS
COMBINATION OF COLD AND WINDS...WILL CREATE WIND CHILL READINGS FROM
30 TO 35 IN THE HOURS AROUND SUNRISE.

Wimps? You have no idea what cold is! Try -40C which at that point is the same as
-40F!! That's what we Montrealers have been dealing with this week! Today it hit a high of -16C, possitively balmy!

rollerdonna - here in Wisconsin I have endured windchills as low as -85, temperatures as low as -30 in my lifetime. I do know what bitter cold is and I have lived in it. Just poking a little fun at those who think 40 is bitter cold. And yes, I do know the danger to the citrus crops, etc. and it is a serious threat. I just got back from Florida this week and people were walking around with jackets and slacks on when it was in the upper 60's while those of us who came from where it was cold were walking around in shorts and short sleeve shirts. It is all a matter of perception.

Now, they have something to gripe about. I just heard that it's 28F in Tampa. I think it's the slipstreams from all those snowbirds heading South. All will be well by the time I get there in two weeks. I promise, I'll leave the cold front at thome.

Another possibility is the refrigeration system the Bucs are using. They have a can of Woopa** they're keeping cool for the Raiders until Sunday. :-)

this cold snap is hitting the entire eastern seaboard --a brisk -3 this morning, the winds have died down a bit, we are going to have a heatwave this weekend it may get up into the 20's Yippee! break out the shorts. I heard that portions of the Carolina's got up to a foot of snow last night.
