WOW! What a game! I was quite pleased with the Bucs in the lead. And I don't mind that one team must win, the other lose. But with the 31 point difference, the Raiders looked as if they had had the living spirit knocked out of them--an ugly sight! They had gone into the game with inflated expectations about their own performance and were thereby shocked.
I actually cheered when they got that first touch down, at least they were becoming competitors. But, when they managed to get another 12 points in additon to that, my magnanimity evaporated. Since the Raiders now looked alive, it was time for Tampa to look more alive, once again. I am delighted with the outcome. It is the first time in history the reigning college and pro football champions have the same spoken nickname.
BUCS AND BUCKS! BUCS AND BUCKS! BUCS AND BUCKS! Has a real nice ring to it!
